Backbeat BooksIt’s been a few years since we’ve heard from A Perfect Circle, but the silence may soon be ending.
According to Alternative Nation, singer Maynard James Keenan and guitarist Billy Howerdel have confirmed A Perfect Circle has been working on new songs and plans to tour next year. Keenan, whose main gig is fronting Tool, also says APC will appear next May 7 at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles.
The news came out of the Los Angeles stop on Keenan's book tour in support of A Perfect Union of Contrary Things. At recent stops Keenan has been holding moderated discussions with friends and collaborators and Howerdel was the moderator Tuesday in L.A.
A Perfect Circle’s last full release was an album of cover tunes, Emotive, back in 2004, although a new song titled “By and Down” appeared on the band’s greatest hits album in 2013.
