James Minchin; Paolo PellegrinA pair of the world's biggest rock bands are rumored to be lined up to perform at the 57th annual Grammy Awards.  HitsDailyDouble, citing unnamed sources inside the Recording Academy, reports that U2 and AC/DC are among the artists who will hit the stage during the ceremony, which takes place February 8 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

The same report claims that Madonna also will be part of the entertainment lineup for the 2015 Grammys.  AC/DC and Madonna aren't actually nominated this year, because the had no material released during the time period of eligibility.  U2 has received one nod, Best Rock Album, for Songs of Innocence, which they released for free to iTunes users worldwide, causing much controversy.  All three artists are past winners.

Meanwhile, in other AC/DC news, an article in the Canadian newspaper Le Soleil says the band is rumored to be slated to play Quebec City's Plains of Abraham on September 2.  The Australian rockers have not confirmed any North American tour dates in support of their new album Rock or Bust, although they have lined up a full European trek that runs from a May 5 show in Arnhem, Netherlands, through a July 25 concert in Warsaw, Poland.
