Avril Lavigne Defends Nickelback Against Mark Zuckerberg

ABC/Tim OgierAvril Lavigne has some words for Mark Zuckerberg over the Facebook CEO's recent Nickelback diss.

In a note posted on her Twitter, Chad Kroeger's estranged wife takes Zuckerberg to task for "promoting bullying."

"Dear Mark," the note begins. "Many people use your products -- some people love them and some people don't. Either way, you're allowed your musical opinion however, your jab at Nickelback is in poor taste."

The Nickelback jab in question comes from a video Zuckerberg posted this week showing the capabilities of a home A.I. system he built. In the video, he asks the A.I., which is voiced by Morgan Freeman, to "play...some good Nickelback songs." The A.I. then replies, "I'm sorry Mark, I'm afraid I can't do that. There are no good Nickelback songs."

In her note, Lavigne writes, "When you have a voice like yours, you may want to consider being more responsible with promoting bullying, especially given what's going on in the world today."

She then adds the hashtags #SayNotoBullying, #TheJokeIsOld and #NickelbackHasSoldOver50MillionAlbums.

Nickelback themselves have yet to respond to Zuckerberg.
