Beastie Boys’ Ad Rock Condemns “Homegrown Terrorism” in Brooklyn Park

Spencer Platt/Getty ImagesBeastie Boys' Adam "Ad Rock" Horovitz spoke at a Brooklyn, NY park and playground on Sunday to decry acts of racism and hate crimes, WABC reports.

The park, which is named after Ad Rock's late Beastie Boys band mate Adam "MCA" Yauch, was vandalized this past Friday with swastikas and the words "Go Trump" spray-painted on playground equipment. In his speech, Horovitz described these acts as "homegrown terrorism."

"I reject Donald Trump's vision of America," Horovitz said. "New York City, I'm asking you to do the same."

Adam Yauch Park is located in the Brooklyn Heights area of Brooklyn. Yauch, who died in 2012, was Jewish, and grew up in the neighborhood.
