ABC/Randy HolmesBillie Eilish has set a new U.K. chart record.
The 17-year-old's debut album, WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO?, has debuted at number one on the U.K.'s Official Albums Chart, making her the youngest female artist to top the tally.
"I appreciate you making WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? the #1 album in the U.K. so much," Eilish tells Official Charts. "We worked really hard on this album. Thank you for the love!!"
Prior to Eilish, who earned her number-one album at 17 years, three months and 18 days old, Joss Stone was the youngest female artist to lead the U.K.'s Official Albums Chart. She did it in 2004 with her album Mind, Body & Soul when she was 17 years, five months and 28 days old.
In the U.S., WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP is headed to number one on the Billboard 200 with an estimated 250,000 equivalent album units, which would be the second-biggest week for any 2019 album.
