Credit: Scarlet PageThe Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan has given his thoughts on Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. In a recently unearthed video from a VIP Q&A held last month in Cincinnati during the Pumpkins' summer tour with Marilyn Manson, Corgan said that while he may not agree with Trump politically, he thinks "what's cool is Trump's running chaos theory."
"He's forcing a lot of things out in the open, so they can't control this, whatever that control is," Corgan said.
He goes on to compare politics to the music business, saying that "everybody gets controlled, and somebody comes along and f**** it all up."
I think it's good that he's f****** it up," Corgan said. "Because whether or not he's the guy -- obviously the political class doesn't want him there -- it'll open it up to a bigger dialogue."
Perhaps Corgan will stir up some chaos theory of his own in support of fellow Chicagoan Kanye West's 2020 presidential campaign.
