ABC/Paula LoboLast year, Blink-182 canceled their set at the Bunbury festival in Cincinnati, Ohio due to "unforeseen circumstances." The pop-punk trio was immediately announced as the headliners for the 2019 edition of the event, but they've now scrapped that appearance, too.
In a tweet posted Monday, Blink wrote, "To our Cincinnati Fans -- we are hard at work in the studio on our next album and will hopefully be announcing touring plans for later this year. Unfortunately this means we will not be able to perform at this year's Bunbury Music Festival."
"We apologize and as always, thank you all for the love and support," the note continues. "We'll see you soon!"
While the prospect of a new Blink album and tour is exciting, some Cincinnati fans are understandably disappointed that they've been canceled on two years in a row. "I literally bought tickets because you confirmed you'd be there this year after canceling last year," wrote one in response to the statement. "You've lost all my respect."
Bunbury 2019 takes place May 31 to June 2. The full lineup has yet to be announced.
