Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus Shares Text Message to Son About Election

ABC/Paula LoboBlink-182's Mark Hoppus has shared a text message that he sent his son the morning after Donald Trump won the presidential election over Hillary Clinton. He posted a screen shot of the message on Blink's Twitter, which he says is a "text to my son, as much for myself as for him."

"I know we're all upset after the election last night. I know I sure am," Hoppus writes. "I hope you're not disheartened. Take this sense of frustration and anger and use it for something good. We are right on the edge of changing the world for the better, righting many wrongs that have existed for far too long. Your generation is the one who can make the world a much better place."

"Remember how important it is to vote," he adds. "Remember how much you count as a person and how much positive change you can affect in the world. I love you and wish I were there with you last night."
