Blur Announces Free Show in Brooklyn

Credit: Linda BrownleeTime for a road trip -- Blur will play a free show at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York May 1 as a part of the Converse Rubber Tracks Live concert series. Though the show's free, you will have to register for a ticket. Registration opens April 29 at noon ET via Converse-Music.com/Blur.

The Brooklyn show will mark Blur's first show in New York as a four-piece since 2000. Just this week, the band released The Magic Whip, their first album since 2003's Think TankThe Magic Whip is also Blur's first album to be fully recorded with founding guitarist Graham Coxon since 1999's 13.

While they're in NYC, Blur will also make a stop at the Tonight Show April 30.

So far, the Brooklyn show is Blur's sole North American tour date. The band does have concerts scheduled for this year in Europe, Hong Kong and Australia.
