Bono and The Edge Get Stuck in a Moment They Can’t Get Out Of for Charity

ABC/Adam TaylorU2 is giving fans the chance to attend a private band rehearsal in aid of charity, with Bono and The Edge appearing in a comical promo video to announce the news.

In the video Bono discusses the details of the ticket giveaway while The Edge interrupts him with puns on U2 songs. The campaign is in support of AIDS charity (RED).

Every entry of $10 or more is a chance to win a private rehearsal performance by U2 for you and a friend. The entry is also a donation that supports the (RED) fight for an AIDS-free Generation. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has pledged to match every dollar raised by (RED) this year up to $78MM. Fans can enter at the Omaze website.

On Christmas, U2 announced in a short video that this year they will tour The Joshua Tree to mark the album’s 30th anniversary. U2 has never performed a retrospective album tour. Tour dates and further details are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The band also announced a new album, Songs of Experience, the follow-up to 2014’s Songs of Innocence.
