Bono Injured in NYC Cycling Accident; U2 “Tonight Show” Residency Cancelled

A.M.P.A.S./Michael YadaU2's week-long residency at the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon that was to begin Monday has been cancelled because Bono injured his arm while bicycling in New York City.

The Edge, Larry Mullins, and Adam Clayton made the announcement on the band's site Sunday. 

"[W]e're one man down. Bono has injured his arm in a cycling spill in Central Park and requires some surgery to repair it." The band continued, "We're sure he'll make a full recovery soon, so we'll be back! Much thanks to Jimmy Fallon and everyone at the show for their understanding."
