"We're in motion for sure," Flowers tells NME. "We're starting to talk and we're looking at where we're gonna rehearse and where we're gonna write and thinking about switching it up."
Flowers previously said that The Killers' last album, Battle Born, "wasn't good enough." Though he now says "there are certain things I love" on Battle Born, he still believes that "as a whole it wasn't strong enough."
"I think we definitely need to do something a little different," says Flowers. "We need to turn it on its head a little bit. The wheels are churning."
The Killers did play a variety of festivals this year, most recently the KAABOO Del Mar festival in San Diego. Flowers just played his final scheduled North American show of 2015 last weekend at the Austin City Limits festival. He has one more show scheduled for the year, in London on November 16.
