Brendon Urie Recorded “Half” of New Panic! At the Disco Album “Naked in the Studio”

"The most potential comes when I'm in the studio alone -- I can just get up and dance, I can be naked writing a song, that influences things!"  Urie tells Gigwise.

"Actually like half the album was me naked in the studio, just hanging out," he adds. "It gets warm in there!"

On the music side of things, Urie wanted to "try to do something that I haven't done before" on the new Panic! album, which features the single "Hallelujah."

"It's like if a crooner smoked a lot of weed and screamed at the top of his lungs -- that's what I tried to do," he says. "I tried to sing out of my range for this one, I'm hitting notes that I've never hit in my life."

As for the progress of the album, Urie says that "it's done," but he doesn't know when it will be released.

"Hopefully by the end of this year," he says.
