Alabama Shakes' episode was taped at the Loveless Barn in Nashville, Tennessee, which is attached to the iconic Loveless Cafe. The performance featured songs from the band's debut album, Boys & Girls, as well as a number of new tracks.

"We've never played in a barn before," frontwoman Brittany Howard said in the interview included in the band's episode. "It's nice to play somewhere like this, because it's got a little more character and a little more flavor than some sort of new venue."

Cage's concert was taped at the Santa Barbara Art Foundry in Santa Barbara, California. Their typically raucous set included cuts from the band's 2014 album, Melophobia, which was recently nominated for a Grammy in the Best Alternative Album category.

The 2015 Live From the Artists Den season will begin on January 30 with a performance by country stars Zac Brown Band. The final episode of the season, featuring Irish singer-songwriter Damien Rice, airs February 20.
