Cage the Elephant Tops Alternative Songs Chart with “Cigarette Daydreams”

Image Courtesy of Colin LaneCage the Elephant has scored their fifth number one hit on Billboard's Alternative Songs chart with "Cigarette Daydreams." The track follows in the elephant-sized footsteps of the band's previous number one singles, 2010's "Back Against the Wall" and "In One Ear," 2011's "Shake Me Down" and 2014's "Come a Little Closer."

"Cigarette Daydreams" is the third single from Cage's third album, Melophobia. The album peaked at number six on Billboard's Alternative Albums chart. It also scored Cage a Grammy nomination in the Best Alternative Music Albums category.

Cage will be bringing their "Cigarette Daydreams" on tour with three shows in California from February 4-6. The Kentucky band will also play the Sweetwater 420 Fest April 17-19 in Atlanta and the BottleRock Festival 2015, May 29-31 in Napa, California.
