Chester Bennington, Jacoby Shaddix, Myles Kennedy & more appear on album from Lamb of God guitarist

ABC/Randy HolmesThree months before Chester Bennington died in July 2017, Lamb of God guitarist Mark Morton tweeted a photo of him alongside the Linkin Park frontman, and hinted that the two were working on a new project together. Now, we know the details of that collaboration.

Bennington will posthumously guest on Morton's upcoming album Anesthetic, due out on March 1. He appears on the record's lead-off track, "Cross Off."

In addition to Bennington, Anesthetic boasts a stacked list of guests, including Papa Roach's Jacoby Shaddix, Alter Bridge frontman and Slash collaborator Myles Kennedy, Mark Lanegan, and Morton's Lamb of God band mate, Randy Blythe. Morton's band on the album includes Megadeth's David Ellefson, Alice in Chains' Mike Inez, Korn's Ray Luzier and Stone Sour's Roy Mayorga, among others.

"This album wasn't a concerted effort to start something outside Lamb of God," Morton says. "Music is always in my head, and until I write and record it, it's stuck there. But once I record it, it's out. It's a catharsis, more for my own sanity."

You can download the song "The Truth Is Dead," which features Blythe and Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy, now via digital outlets.
