Image Courtesy of 42 WestChris Cornell pulls a Back to the Future Part III and heads to the Wild West in his newly released "Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart Video." In the clip, Cornell and actor Eric Roberts play convicts are who are about to be hanged. You'll have to wait to the end of the video, which you can watch now on YouTube, to see if the Soundgarden frontman makes it out alive.
"Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart" is the lead single from Cornell's forthcoming solo album, Higher Truth, which will be released September 18.
In related news, Cornell will be performing "Nearly Forgot My Broken Heart" on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon September 17. If you liked that performance, you can catch Cornell on his solo acoustic tour this fall, which kicks off September 18 in San Diego.
Along with touring behind Higher Truth, Cornell will also be working with Soundgarden on their next album, the band's first since 2012's King Animal.
