Image Courtesy of Press Here PublicityChris Cornell is taking a country detour. The Soundgarden frontman will guest on Zac Brown Band's forthcoming album, Jekyll + Hyde. Cornell is featured on a track titled "Heavy Is the Head."
Zac Brown's collaboration with Cornell isn't the country star's first with a well-known rocker. Last year, Brown performed the Black Sabbath classic "War Pigs" alongside Foo Fighters during their week-long residency at The Late Show with David Letterman. Brown also guests on the Foos' Sonic Highways single, "Congregation."
Cornell isn't new to jumping genres, either. His last solo studio album, the divisive Scream, was produced by Timbaland and eschewed Cornell's traditional hard-rock sound for electro-pop.
Jekyll + Hyde will be released April 28.
