ABC/Randy HolmesRemember the emotionally devastating video for "Happier," Bastille's collaboration with Marshmello? Well, the hit-making DJ producer is returning to that well of tears with the video for "Here with Me," his new song with CHVRCHES.
The video follows a firefighter who enters a dangerous, blazing home while his family worryingly watches him in action on a news report. As he continues to battle the fire, the video then cuts to his wife and daughter in a dark field, wearing all black.
Just as you start fearing the worst, the screen brightens up, and -- spoiler alert -- we learn that the firefighter is just fine, and his family is attending his medal ceremony.
If you enjoy having musicians cruelly toy with your emotions, you can watch the "Here with Me" video now on YouTube. While you're there, you can also donate to the First Responders Support Network.
Earlier this week, CHVRCHES and Marshmello performed "Here with Me" on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live!. You can catch the Scottish trio on tour in continued support of their new album Love Is Dead, starting April 14 with a set at Coachella.
