Image Courtesy of Eliot HazelCHVRCHES have returned to the studio. The Scottish trio -- and recent Brit Award nominees -- posted on Twitter that they are currently working on their second album.

"Album two, day one in the studio," the band writes, accompanied by a photo documenting that very fact.

The new album will by CHVRCHES' follow-up to their 2013 debut album, The Bones of What You Believe. The record earned the number three spot on Billboard's Alternative Albums chart when it was released.

CHVRCHES spent much of 2014 touring in support of The Bones of What You Believe, including an appearance at the VH1 You Oughta Know concert spectacular alongside Bleachers, KONGOS and Vance Joy. Lead singer Lauren Mayberry even teamed up with Jack Antonoff's band to cover Fleetwood Mac's classic "Go Your Own Way."
