Coheed and Cambria to Headline the Wrecking Ball Festival in Atlanta

Credit: Lindsey ByrnesCoheed and Cambria are adding to their summer festival schedule with a headlining set at the inaugural Wrecking Ball festival in Atlanta. The Wrecking Ball will be held in honor of Atlanta rock and punk venue The Masquerade, which is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Other artists to play the Wrecking Ball include Thrice, Descendents and Conor Oberst's punk band, Desaparecidos, among others.

In addition to the music, the Wrecking Ball will be hosting a pre-festival "punk rock karaoke" party, featuring appearances by Bad Religion's Greg Hetson, Social Distortion's Derek O'Brien and NOFX's Eric Melvin.

The Wrecking Ball will be held at Atlanta's The Masquerade August 8-9. The punk rock karaoke takes place August 7. Visit WreckingBallAtl.com for the full lineup and ticket info.

Coheed and Cambria, meanwhile, have a busy summer ahead of them with stops at Rock in Rio USA, Summerfest and the Amnesia Rockfest.
