The Supreme Court made two landmark rulings last week in upholding the Affordable Care Act and declaring same-sex marriage to be legal in all 50 states. To celebrate the decisions, Coheed and Cambria wrote a song using excerpts from Justice Antonin Scalia's dissenting opinions in both cases. You can watch the result at FunnyorDie.com.
The folksy, acoustic jam combines lines from both of Justice Scalia's dissenting opinions, resulting in lyrics such as "The world does not expect logic...in poetry" and "Understatement, thy name is an opinion on the Affordable Care Act!"
Perhaps Coheed and Cambria will perform "I Dissent" live this summer and fall when the band hits the festival circuit, including appearances at Riot Fest, Aftershock and Fun Fun Fun Fest.
