Cold War Kids, X Ambassadors Playing “Billboard’s” Hot 100 Festival

Billboard/Live NationAs it turns out, Billboard's Hot 100 Festival won't be exclusively pop. Rock bands Cold War Kids and X Ambassadors will be playing the inaugural event, which aims to "bring together some of the biggest chart-topping artists."

The Hot 100 Festival lineup also includes MisterWives and New Politics. R&B singer The Weeknd, rapper Nicki Minaj and pop star Justin Bieber will headline the event.

While Cold War Kids have never actually had a song chart on the Hot 100, the band is a staple on the Alternative Songs chart. Their current single, "First," currently sits at number 11 on Alternative Songs.

Meanwhile, X Ambassador's current singe, "Renegades," is the number-one track on Alternative Songs. The song has sneaked on to the Hot 100, though, and currently sits at number 65.

The Billboard Hot 100 Festival will be held August 22-23 at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, New York. Visit Billboard.com/Hot100Fest for the full lineup and ticket info.
