Image Courtesy of Atlantic RecordsColdplay's new concert film and live album, Ghost Stories Live 2014, will be released November 24 on CD/DVD and digital formats. Shot in Los Angeles by Grammy-nominated director Paul Dugdale, the film documents the band's intimate March 2014 performance of Ghost Stories two month's prior to the album's release.
"The Ghost Stories show at Sony Studios was a very special moment for our band," says Chris Martin in a statement. "The magic theatre built by our incredible crew with the 360 screens was literally a dream come true. And it was the first time anyone outside of our studio had heard the new songs. This film is basically our original vision for the Ghost Stories album."
The accompanying live album will feature audio recorded from Coldplay's shows shows in London, Sydney, Paris, Cologne, New York and Los Angeles during the band's 2014 tour.
The package also includes eight music videos, including the extended director's cut of the "Magic" video and two new films for B-sides "All Your Friends" and "Ghost Story."
Parts of Ghost Stories Live 2014 aired in the US and UK in May 2014 as the "Coldplay TV Special," and the film has already been nominated for Best Live Coverage at this year's UK Music Video Awards.
