Image Courtesy of Atlantic RecordsThe inaugural BBC Music Awards will be held this year, and England's hottest rock band will be there to celebrate the occasion. Coldplay will be performing at the ceremony, along with One Direction, Ed Sheeran, DJ Calvin Harris, electronic group Clean Bandit, and singer-songwriter Paloma Faith.
"It's an incredible line-up and we're honored to be part of it," says Chris Martin.
Martin recently contributed to an all-star cover of The Beach Boys' "God Only Knows" to celebrate the launch of BBC Music. Lorde, Brian May and Dave Grohl also appear in the tribute.
The shortlists for the BBC Music Awards will be announced in December. The winners will be revealed during the London ceremony December 11.
