Corey Taylor's new book is titled You’re Making Me Hate You: A Cantankerous Look at the Common Misconception that Humans Have Any Common Sense Left. One of the numerous things that will make the Slipknot and Stone Sour frontman hate you is if you use a selfie stick.
"Oh my f**king god, selfie sticks, f**k me," Taylor says in an interview with NME. "Whenever I see one, I'm like 'seriously?! There's a whole f**king industry making hundreds of thousand dollars probably every day just so we can take big f**king pictures of our own stupid faces?!'"
Selfie sticks have been banned from a number of festivals, including Coachella and Lollapalooza, as well as at some cultural institutions such as New York City's Museum of Modern Art.
"It's a dumb invention," Taylor adds. "What the f**k is wrong with us? I would find a baseball bat...and I would beat the living s**t out of that person probably and then I would go to jail without even being the slightest bit f**king sorry. Cuff me up, officer! I'm not trying to run, is that the van? OK, I'll get myself in! Just get me the f**k out of here."
For more of what makes Corey Taylor hate you, you can read You're Making Me Hate You, which will be released on July 7. Taylor will be touring solo in support of the book -- his third -- starting July 6 in Ridgewood, New Jersey.
