Courtney Love to Appear on Wednesday’s “Empire” Episode

In an episode called "Out, Damned Spot," the Hole frontwoman will play rocker Elle Dallas. In the episode, Empire Entertainment CEO Lucious Lyon, played by Terrence Howard, tries to convince Love's character to be managed by his ex-wife, Cookie, played by Taraji P. Henson. Love won't just be acting on Empire, she'll be singing, too. Her take on the soul classic "Take Me to the River" will appear on Wednesday's episode.

No stranger to acting, Love earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role in the 1996 movie The People vs. Larry Flynt. She also played a recurring role on the final season of the FX drama Sons of Anarchy, and she recently starred in an opera called Kansas City Choir Boy.

"Out, Damned Spot" will air February 11 at 9 p.m. ET on Fox.
