The video for "Roots" reflects that sentiment by showing home movies of Reynolds from when he was a kid. The clips from his childhood are spliced together with footage of Reynolds decompressing after an Imagine Dragons show. The video's streaming now on YouTube.
When they first released "Roots," Imagine Dragons shared a collage that included photos of all the band members as kids, as well as childhood photos submitted by fans.
"Roots" is a non-album single, and is Imagine Dragons' first new song since they released their sophomore album, Smoke + Mirrors, earlier this year. The band performed the track on the premiere episode of ABC's The Muppets.
