Dave Grohl gifts his own shoe to fan on crutches

ABC/Andrea McCallinThe legend of Dave Grohl continues grow with the Foo Fighters frontman's latest act of kindness.

A young fan named Sabryn saw the Foos live in Washington, D.C. last week, despite having to walk with crutches due to an injury. When she met Grohl backstage, the musician noticed the crutches, so he brought out his own orthopedic surgeon, who helped him recover from his broken leg.

"Dave brought [the doctor] out once he saw that I was on crutches, and that's when his doctor mentioned that I was supposed to wear a shoe with my brace," Sabryn tells Alternative Press. "I told him that my shoes didn't fit over it because it's pretty big and my shoes are kinda small. So Dave said, 'You need one of my big high tops!' and I laughed it off."

But Grohl wasn't kidding -- he ran back to his dressing room and grabbed an extra shoe to give to her.

"I wore it for the rest of the night after Dave told me to put it on," Sabryn says. "It's definitely one of the coolest things to ever happen, and probably the funniest."

Dave and Foo Fighters are currently on tour in support of their new album, Concrete and Gold.
