Credit: We Are the RhoadsDeath Cab for Cutie's latest album, Kintsugi, debuted at number eight on the Billboard 200 with 56,000 in sales and streams. The band's last album, 2011's Codes and Keys, peaked at number three.
Kintsugi's debut gives Death Cab for Cutie four straight top-10 albums on the Billboard 200. However, Kintsugi, is the band's first album to not debut in the top 5 since 2003's Transatlanticism, which peaked at number 97.
Death Cab for Cutie will embark on a headlining tour in support of Kintsugi later this month. The tour will take them all the way through the beginning of October with a three-night stand at The Paramount Theatre in Seattle.
