Death From Above 1979 is known for their heavy, distorted bass riffs and pounding drums, but neither of those are featured in the newly released acoustic version of "Virgins." You can download the unplugged rendition, which features honest-to-goodness guitar chords, now on iTunes.
"Virgins" is DFA 1979's latest single from their 2014 album, The Physical World, which was released 10 years after the Toronto duo came out with their debut record, You're a Woman, I'm a Machine.
In not so happy DFA 1979 news, the Canadian band has been forced to cancel four headlining tour dates this month, citing "super unsexy bureaucratic immigration/visa issues." The canceled dates include a scheduled performance at Jack White's Third Man Records in Nashville.
Luckily, Death From Above 1979 will return in full swing later this month to open for the Incubus and Deftones co-headlining tour, which kicks off July 22 in Clarkston, Michigan.
