Dirty Heads Talk About Their First Live DVD

The video was shot at Red Rocks Amphitheater near Denver, Colorado and features clips from the band's sound check and performance at the legendary venue this past August. As Dirty Heads singer Jared "Dirty J" Watson tells ABC News Radio, that Red Rocks show was one of the most important concerts in the band's career.

"I can't even describe in words the feeling of that day," Watson says of his Red Rocks experience.

Dirty Heads first played Red Rocks in 2007 as the opening band on a tour with Matisyahu and 311. Since that show, the band has been on a mission not only to headline the venue, but to sell it out.

"We get off stage, and it was just like, 'One day we're going to sell this place out,'" Watson explains. "That's the next goal, we're going to sell out Red Rocks. I don't know when, I don't know how, but it will happen."

Seven years later, the band crossed that goal off their list.

"To have that day come brought tears to my eyes," Watson says. "We sat on the stage after the show and had drinks and just talked about what we've done over the years. It was a real milestone for us."

When that day did come, the band decided the show had to be documented. Not only did they film footage for the "Sound of Change" music video, they filmed the entire set for the first-ever Dirty Heads live DVD.

"We knew we got to film this. We got to bring [rapper] Tech N9ne out, we got to go all out. This is Red Rocks, this is our favorite venue in the world," Watson says. "So we're going to make this special. We're doing a live DVD, it'll come out hopefully spring or summer of next year."

Dirty Heads will be bringing their live show to Europe starting on November 22 in Paris. The band will return to North America in the winter for a few festival dates, including the Big Orlando Festival in Orlando, Florida on December 7. All ticket information can be found on DirtyHeads.com.
