Disturbed Notches Fifth Straight Number-One Album with “Immortalized”

Reprise RecordsDisturbed's Immortalized has immortalized the band in Billboard chart history. Disturbed's first album in five years has debuted at number-one on the Billboard 200 with 98,000 equivalent album units sold, 93,000 of which were pure album sales. In doing so, Immortalized gives Disturbed five straight number-one albums.

Now that Immortalized has debuted at number-one, Disturbed has become just the third band ever to score five-straight number-one records on the Billboard 200. That feat has so far only been achieved by Metallica and Dave Matthews Band.

Disturbed previously reached number-one on the Billboard 200 with 2010's Asylum, 2008's Indestructible, 2005's Ten Thousand Fists and 2002's Believe. The band's only album to not top the chart remains their 2000 debut album, The Sickness.

Immortalized is Disturbed's first album since the band went on hiatus in 2011. They played their first show in four years on the same day Immortalized was released. Disturbed will launch a full-scale tour in support of Immortalized next March.
