Disturbed's "The Vengeful One" has indeed avenged the band's five-year absence on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs chart. The lead single from Disturbed's first post-hiatus album, Immortalized, has reached number one on Mainstream Rock Songs, dethroning Shinedown's "Cut the Cord."
"The Vengeful One" is Disturbed's fourth number-one single on Mainstream Rock Songs, following 2010's "Another Way to Die," 2008's "Inside the Fire," and their 2006 cover of Genesis' "Land of Confusion."
Immortalized, Disturbed's first album since 2010, will be released August 21. That same day, the band will play their first live show in four years, at the House of Blues in Chicago.
Disturbed will launch a full-length tour in support of Immortalized starting March 2016.
