The lead singer of Eagles of Death Metal detailed in an interview with VICE what happened inside Paris' Bataclan Concert Hall November 13, when gunmen unleashed a deadly attack.
In a clip previewing VICE's interview, set to premiere this week on VICE.com, the band's lead singer, Jesse Hughes, said, "Several people hid in our dressing room, and the killers were able to get in, and killed every one of them -- except for a kid who was hiding under my leather jacket."
"People were playing dead, and they were so scared," Hughes said.
The concert massacre was one of six attacks throughout Paris the night of November 13 that left 130 people dead overall. The band's merchandise manager, Nick Alexander, was among the victims.
An emotional Hughes said, "A great reason why so many were killed is because so many people wouldn't leave their friends."
"So many people put themselves in front of people," he said.
