Eagles of Death Metal releasing vinyl-only covers album named after Axl Rose diss

Credit: Chapman BaehlerEagles of Death Metal are releasing a new, vinyl-only covers album tiled Pigeons of S*** Metal.

The title is a reference to an incident in 2006, when EoDM were opening for the pre-reunited Guns N' Roses during a show in Cleveland. As the story goes, when Axl Rose took the stage for GNR's headlining set, he announced, "How'd you like the Pigeons of S*** Metal? Don't worry, that's the last show they're playing with us." And it was.

Naturally, the Pigeons album track list includes a cover of the Guns classic "It's So Easy." It also features takes on songs by The Ramones, Pixies, Love and Rockets, AC/DC, The Distillers, Steve Miller Band, and Queens of the Stone Age.

You can pre-order the Pigeons album now via LastHurrahRecords.com.
