Escape the Fate kicks off their fall tour Tuesday, October 13 in Anaheim, California in support of their forthcoming new album, Hate Me. In honor of their brand-new album, Escape the Fate is planning a brand-new set for their Hate Me tour.
"The set list is gonna be way different, we're planning on playing older songs we've never really played before," frontman Craig Mabbitt tells ABC Radio. "[We're] playing a bunch of brand-new ones off the record, obviously, like four or five, so that right there just by itself is a completely different set than anybody's seen from us before."
After spending their summer traveling on this year's Warped Tour, Escape the Fate opted for a smaller approach for the Hate Me tour.
"We're definitely coming and downsizing the tour a bit," says Mabbitt. "We're playing places like Chain Reaction [in Anaheim], so it's going to be very intimate, very high-energy."
One thing that will be coming back for the Hate Me tour, however, are the "hate me" amps, which are emblazoned with the eponymous phrase in white paint. The amps made an appearance on Warped Tour and were also featured in the video for "Just a Memory," the single from Hate Me.
"I think we're bringing those bad boys back and we probably will retire them on the tour," Mabbitt says. "I know me and the guys were talking about possibly even doing a huge bonfire burn at the end of the Hate Me tour and just burning those bad boys."
If perhaps you were hoping to get your hands on one of those amps, you may be in luck.
"Who knows, maybe we'll decide to just give it as a prize to a fan or auction them off to a fan," Mabbitt tells ABC Radio. "I don't know, but I think we're bringing them out of storage from the summer and bringing them back out on the road with us."
Hate Me will be released October 30.
