ABC/Eric McCandlessFall Out Boy has teamed up with experimental duo 100 gecs for a remix of the latter's song "hand crushed by a mallet."
The new recording finds Patrick Stump belting out the first verse of the song, which originally appears on the 2019 debut 100 gecs album, 1000 gecs. Craig Owens of the post-hardcore band Chiodos and singer-songwriter Nicole Dollanganger also contribute to the remix.
The "hand crushed by a mallet" remix is included on the new 100 gecs album 1000 gecs and The Tree of Clues, which includes remixes of every song from 1000 gecs. You can download it now via digital outlets.
Fall Out Boy, meanwhile, would be currently gearing up for the North American leg of their massive Hella Mega tour with Green Day and Weezer, were it not for COVID-19. The stadium outing has been rescheduled for 2021 due to the pandemic.
