Fall Out Boy has joined forces with Hot Topic for "Bring Music to Schools, Bring Music to Life," a charity initiative benefiting youth music programs from non-profits such as Little Kids Rock, Notes for Notes and the Grammy Foundation. You can donate to the campaign by "rounding-up" your in-store or online Hot Topic purchase to the nearest dollar -- the difference will be donated to the benefiting programs.
In a video for the campaign, the members of Fall Out Boy and students from Little Kids Rock discuss the importance of music in their lives.
"There's a lot of data to suggest that learning about music helps you learn about everything," frontman Patrick Stump says in the video. "It's not nothing. It's not a frivolous past time, it's important."
"Music's part of the human experience, and everybody can play music," adds guitarist Joe Trohman. "I think if you're not given the chance to do it in a free, open environment to try, then you'll never be able to and you'll just kind of be envious of something I think should just be a right."
