Credit: Tom BeardFlorence + the Machine has unveiled "Ship to Wreck," the opening track from the band's forthcoming album, How Big How Blue How Beautiful. You can listen to "Ship to Wreck," the album's second single after the fiery "What Kind of Man," now on YouTube.
"I was thinking about my own self destructive side, and how you can make something only to tear it down, enjoy/destroy, create/devastate etc.," frontwoman Florence Welch says of "Ship to Wreck." "When you're in that whirlwind, you often end up breaking the thing you love the most."
The official video for "Ship to Wreck," which was filmed in Welch's home, will be released next week.
How Big How Blue How Beautiful will be released on June 2.
