Florence + the Machine's new album, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, is headed for a big, beautiful debut atop the Billboard 200. The band's third record is on pace to launch at number one on the chart with an estimated 130,000 equivalent album units sold in its first week.
If the forecast holds true, How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful would be Florence + the Machine's first number-one album on the Billboard 200. The band's last album, 2011's Ceremonials, peaked at number six, while their debut record, 2009's Lungs, peaked at number 14.
Florence + the Machine is in currently on tour behind How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful, which will next hit New York City's Governors Ball festival June 5. The band's tour appeared to be jeopardy when frontwoman Florence Welch broke her foot while playing Coachella, but they've continued with "stripped-down" shows.
