Foo Fighters bassist Nate Mendel is bringing his new project, Lieutenant, on tour for the first time. The tour will begin March 18 with an appearance at the South by Southwest festival, and will conclude April 8 in Los Angeles. Ticket info can be found at LieutenantMusic.com.
Lieutenant is the first band fronted by Mendel, who also played bass in the 90's emo band Sunny Day Real Estate. Mendel will release his first album as Lieutenant, If I Kill This Thing We’re All Going to Eat for a Week, on March 10.
If I Kill also boasts an impressive list of guest contributors, including Mendel's Foo Fighters band mate, Chris Shiflett, as well as members of Sunny Day Real Estate, Modest Mouse, Fleet Foxes, The Head and the Heart, Helmet and Snow Patrol.
