It looks like Foo Fighters are plotting their return to Europe. Over the weekend, the band posted a photo of a map of Europe, followed by another photo of a Foo-branded passport.
Most likely Dave Grohl and company are teasing a European tour, especially since it was announced Monday morning that the Foos would be headlining the 2017 NOS Alive festival in Portugal on July 7. However, some have theorized that the band is hinting at a European edition of the Sonic Highways TV series.
If Foo Fighters are planning a European tour, hopefully they'll be able to complete their run this time around, since their last two trips to the continent were cut short. They had to cancel dates on their summer 2015 European tour after Grohl broke his leg falling off a stage in Sweden, and again in the fall of 2015 due to the November 13 terrorist attack in Paris.
Currently, Foo Fighters have just one U.S. gig lined up: a performance at the 2017 MusiCares Person of the Year gala in honor of Tom Petty. The event will be held February 10 in Los Angeles.
