The band recorded a version of "Outside" for the BBC Maida Vale Sessions. As such, the version on Sonic Highways, which was recorded in Joshua Tree, California with a guest appearance from Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh, will sound a bit different. You can stream the BBC recording now on YouTube.

In addition to the BBC performance, the Foos were interviewed by Zane Lowe. You can stream interview highlights, as well as the recording sessions, on the BBC website.

More news: Thursday night, Foo Fighters released the Sonic Highways track they recorded in Austin: "What Did I Do?/God as My Witness," featuring Gary Clark Jr. The Austin episode of the documentary series Sonic Highways airs tonight, November 7. The Los Angeles episode, which will feature "Outside," airs November 14.
