Jeffrey R. Staab/CBSFoo Fighters teamed up with Heart's Ann and Nancy Wilson during their appearance on Tuesday night's episode of the Late Show with David Letterman. They performed the Heart song "Kick It Out."
It was the Foo's second of five scheduled appearances this week on the CBS late-night program. On Monday night, they were joined by Zac Brown for a cover of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs."
Like Brown, Ann and Nancy Wilson will be featured on the band's new HBO series, Foo Fighters Sonic Highways, which premieres Friday. It documents the recording of the Sonic Highways album, which will be released November 10. The Foo Fighters plan to release the first song off that album on Thursday.
Earlier on Tuesday night's episode of the Late Show, all of the members of the Foo Fighters were involved in a brief sketch in which a Batman-like "Foo signal" was flashed and an alarm sounded.
