Foo Fighters will “have a new record by next year,” says Taylor Hawkins

ABC/Travis BellAs the second anniversary of the latest Foo Fighters album, 2017's Concrete and Gold, approaches next month, the band is starting to look towards another record.

Speaking to Rock Sound, drummer Taylor Hawkins reveals that the Foos are eyeing a 2020 release for their milestone 10th studio effort.

Hawkins explains, "Well, from what I've heard from our fearless leader Dave Grohl, he has a lot of demos that he's worked on and I think we'll start -- once this tour is over -- I think not too [long] after that, we'll start the process of putting the songs together as a band."

"It's a long process," he continues. "We do a lot of demoing and stuff, but I think that we'll have -- I'm hoping -- I think we'll have a new record by next year. We should."

Foo Fighters are currently touring the U.K. in continued support of Concrete and Gold. They'll be back in the U.S. in September to play the Bourbon & Beyond and Pilgrimage festivals.
