Frances Bean Cobain to Star in Marc Jacobs Fashion Campaign

Paul Archuleta/FilmMagicFrances Bean Cobain is headed to the fashion world. The daughter of Kurt Cobain and Courtney Love will star in an upcoming ad campaign from acclaimed designer Marc Jacobs.

"I have always wanted to work with Frances," Jacobs says in an Instagram post announcing the news. "Her beauty, uniqueness, and strength is something I have long admired and respected."

In an interview with Vogue, Cobain says her foray into modeling will likely be a one-time deal.

"I don't think I'll be modeling for anybody else for a very long time -- this is 100 percent outside my comfort zone," Cobain says. "I wouldn't have done it with anyone other than Marc."

"I don't model unless I think the project is cool, and I don't put my name behind something that I don't genuinely believe in," she adds. "I thought this collection was great, and I was flattered that Marc thought of me for this. What I said to Marc when I was saying yes was that he's an underdog for the masses. He's still very rebellious within the fashion world, and he's been like that his entire career."

Cobain plans on representing the "general, standard, average human girl" in the campaign. One thing she won't be representing, though, is the era of her parents.

"I don't f****** care what they did in the '90s; I wasn't around and it's not relevant to me," she says. "Yes, the '90s were influential, for sure, but it's just not my cup of tea. When it's shoved down your throat every day for 24 years, you just stop caring."
