Garbage's self-titled debut turns 20 this year, and the band is celebrating with a special 20th Anniversary Edition of Garbage. The album will consist of a remastered version of the original, plus bonus tracks, remixes and previously unreleased songs. As a preview, Garbage has released the Supersize Mix of "Subhuman," now playing on YouTube.
As previously announced, Garbage will also embark on a tour this fall in celebration of their 20th anniversary, during which the band will play Garbage in its entirety. Dubbed the 20 Years Queer tour, the trek will kick off October 6 in San Diego.
"This is a very special occasion for all of us in Garbage," says frontwoman Shirley Manson in a statement. "We are particularly excited about the upcoming tour -- the intent of which is pretty much the celebration of a 20 year long affair between us and those who have loved us."
Released in 1995, Garbage featured the hit single "Stupid Girl," which garnered the band two nominations at the 1997 Grammy Awards: Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group. Garbage also received a nomination for Best New Band.
The 20th Anniversary Edition of Garbage will be released digitally and on CD October 2. Here are the previously unreleased tracks featured on the Digital Super Deluxe Edition:
