Garbage Schedules 20th Anniversary Shows

A&E RecordsGarbage will celebrate the 20-year anniversary of the release of their self-titled debut album with two special concerts this November in Paris and London. The Paris show will take place November 7 at Le Zénith, and the London performance will be held November 8 at O2 Academy Brixton.

Garbage the album, released in 1995, featured the hit single "Stupid Girl," which garnered Garbage two nominations at the 1997 Grammy Awards: Best Rock Song and Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group. They also received a nomination for Best New Band.

In other Garbage and Grammy happenings, frontwoman Shirley Manson criticized rapper Kanye West for his near-interruption of Beck when he was awarded Album of the Year at this year's ceremony. In a Facebook post Manson wrote, "It is YOU who is so busy disrespecting artistry. You disrespect your own remarkable talents and more importantly you disrespect the talent, hard work and tenacity of all artists when you go so rudely and savagely after such an accomplished and humble artist like BECK."

Tickets to the 20th anniversary Garbage shows, officially dubbed 20 Years Queer, will go on sale March 6 via Garbage.com.
