Columbia RecordsRising British star George Ezra has had to cancel some shows this past week, but now he's been forced to scrap a really major gig: his planned appearance Friday at Coachella.
In a note posted on Twitter, George explains that he's "gutted" -- British for "devastated" -- about having to cancel the Coachella performance, writing, "The doctor has told me I have viral laryngitis. I'm taking myself to bed to rest for the next couple of days to try and be fit again for Sunday."
He adds, "So so sorry to anyone who was hoping to see me, this is a s**t feeling. Thank you again to everyone who has been sending well wishes to me."
George is currently on tour in support of his album Wanted on Voyage and his breakout hit "Budapest."
